Research Center

Research Center of Zoology

The Zoology Department was established in 1959. with the inception of the college. Since them tremendous development has been done in the Department. Last year M.Sc. (Physiology) intake capacity 24 was started to Provide higher education to the students who were unable to go out foe the higher education due to financial problem.

Department of zoology not only providing quality education to the students but also realize responsibility towards the society so every year awareness camps are arranged in rural areas and slum areas of Malegaon regarding the prevention of Malaria, Dengue Chickenguinea and other dreaded diseases. Formers of nearby areas are encouraged to wards the wormiculture, Sericulture, Apiculture etc.

Zoology department laboratory is recognized Research center in Environmental Science under the Guidance of Dr. B. S. Yadav.

Dr. B. S. Yadav is recognized Research Guide in Env. Science by Pune University and North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon Under his guidance eight students are doing research work for Ph.D. in the core areas of Environmental Biology. The University grant commission has sanctioned Minor Research Project and BCUD of Pune University has awarded financial assistance to catalyze his research activity.

Four research students attended and presented research papers in National Conference on Global worming and Recent trends in Biotechnology this year. Dr. B. S. Yadav has published more then 12 research papers and two reference Books published. One book is under publication. One Lecturer series arranged and one regional seminar on Gene cloning are arranged by Dr. B. S. Yadav on 16.02.2008.
